The livestock industry is filled with amazing, selfless people who generously donate their time to others. In an effort to help recognize all of those who we hold dear to our hearts for their commitment to making a difference, we asked our customers and followers to submit a photo and comment about their mentor. Below are some of the favorite entries we received. Each of these mentors will be receiving a special gift from as a thank you from Sure Champ and the student that nominated them.

Mel caught a picture of me helping Grandpa to his seat at the bull sale from her computer a few weeks ago. I owe everything about my lifestyle to this man. As a 5th generation farmer/rancher, I can only hope and pray my kids fall in love with the life I learned so much from.

I want to share my daughters mentor. She is her ag teacher/2nd mom. Emily is a very strong women and is always looking out for all the kids in Riviera, TX.

The stock show world has so many great people involved in it. When I started showing steers my step dad was there every step of the way. He always has been and always will be, from choosing our favorite calves and comparing choices, to helping me make it to the top! I can never thank him enough for all he does and having the same drive and passion I do for the stock show world. I couldn’t ask for a better mentor and could never do it without him! He’s always reminding me to never give up no matter how hard it becomes and, by doing so, makes showing the best experience ever.
