Meet the Interns: Micayla Gray

Hello!

I’m Micayla Gray! This is my second summer to be blessed working with BioZyme Inc., and I am so thankful for another round! I am an Agriculture-Business major at the University of Tennessee at Martin and in the fall I will be returning for my junior year.  So far my education has been a perfect fit for me; I love being able to take my love for all things agriculture and add to it the challenge and competition of the business world.  This summer I will be focusing on sales, trying to refine my career goals.

Aside from my goal to become an influential part of agriculture, my passions are my family and rodeo.  I grew up in Whitewater, Missouri on a small farm- just 80 acres for grazing a herd of commercial cows and for galloping my pony.  My daddy introduced me to th
e miracles of agriculture on a small scale. As I grew, so did my appreciation for them.  I continued to learn and stay active in 4-H, FFA, and Missouri High School Rodeo.  When it came time to leave the farm, I chose UTM as the place to continue my education and pursue rodeo goals.  Competing on the UTM Women’s Rodeo Team has been an experience like no other, both challenging and rewarding, and I’m so excited to get back to the arena in the fall.

But for now, I am looking forward to a summer even better than last summer, though it’s hard to imagine.  After the past couple years, I’m beginning to see God’s plan for my life unfold and I’m incredibly grateful that this internship is another piece of it.

Hope to see you soon,

Micayla
