Meet the Interns: Micayla Gray

I’m Micayla Gray. Originally from Whitewater, Missouri, I grew up surrounded by agriculture and thehonest, genuine, hardworking people that make it happen. On Daddy’s arm and Mama’s feed, each day on our 80 acre farm was better than the last as I learned to care for our horses and a small herd of commercial cows. Inspired by my roots and fueled by my passion to continue the traditions I love, I was an active member of Cape County 4-H and the Jackson FFA Chapter.  After graduating high school in 2012, I packed up and left our little farm for the University of Tennessee at Martin where I now study Agribusiness and compete on the UT Martin Women’s Rodeo Team as a goat tyer, breakaway roper, team roper, and barrel racer.  I will return in the fall to continue pursuing an education that will set me up for success in the ever-important agribusiness field. Currently I think I would most like a position in sales and marketing, however, I am open-minded, flexible, and I’m excited to see where I find myself in the future.

I’m very thankful for my latest opportunity to broaden my horizons and discover another kind of education. Working as an office intern for BioZyme Inc. this summer has already proved to be an experience I’ll take with me wherever God leads me in the future. It’s incredibly exciting for me to be a piece of the foundation of a successful company and I look forward to the possibilities that lie ahead.
