A Letter of Gratitude to the Livestock Industry

At Sure Champ®, we count ourselves blessed to work alongside some of the hardest-working, most resilient, and humble people in the world—those who make their living in the livestock and agricultural community. Make no mistake, agriculture is more than an industry. It is a lifestyle, a calling, and a strong foundation to build families on.

As we enter fall and the halfway point on our Sure Champ Birthday Tour, we want to pause, reflect, and say a simple but heartfelt thank you. Thank you for making agriculture a stable, steady place to raise families. Thank you for instilling in your children—and ours—the values of faith, family, and future. Thank you for showing the world that the barn, the pasture, and the show ring remain some of the greatest classrooms in existence.

This industry is more than feed and genetics, more than ribbons and trophies. It is a foundation—a place where values are lived out every day, where character is built one chore, one setback, and one small success at a time. And for that, we are grateful.

“At BioZyme®, our core values are based on faith, family, and future,” said Lisa Norton, president and CEO. “I’m so grateful that the agricultural community largely shares that same value system. Many of our Sure Champ customers are the future, and we are grateful for an industry that teaches young people these same values.”

Faith: The Cornerstone of Agriculture

In agriculture, we weave faith into every season. Farmers plant seeds in the spring with faith that they will sprout, and ranchers turn cows to grass with faith that rains will come. Families step into each new show season with faith that their hard work and dedication will pay off. And, when challenges come—as they always do—it is faith that sustains them.

We admire the way this community continues to lean on faith, both in God and in one another. It is faith that keeps families grounded when prices fall, when drought lingers, or when a show doesn’t go as planned. It is faith that inspires resilience and provides hope for tomorrow.

“With everything happening in the world, I think it is hard not to have faith. It is also hard to have respect without faith, and livestock people show greater respect than most,” Norton said.

At Sure Champ, we are humbled to serve an industry where prayer still happens before meals, devotionals in the show ring happen on Sunday mornings, and where people lift each other in times of need. Faith is a value too precious to lose, and agriculture keeps it alive.

Family: The Heart of It All

Agriculture has always been about family. On farms and ranches, families work side by side, day in and day out, caring for animals, land, and one another. In the show barn, families work together toward a common goal. Families travel together to the shows, eat together, and share in the triumphs and setbacks of each project.

This lifestyle allows children to grow up watching their parents and grandparents lead by example—showing up every day, no matter the weather or circumstances. Families in agriculture know that the chores have to be done, the animals have to be cared for, and the work is never truly finished. Yet, they also know that the work is lighter when it is shared.

BioZyme is also a company comprised of family members – both by blood, marriage, and a special bond of friendship. The care that comes full circle is extended from the company through the employees to dealers and to customers in a family-type atmosphere, to those not related.

The agricultural way of life keeps families close. It creates bonds that extend far beyond the farm gate, because families in this industry also become part of a bigger family—a community that supports one another like few others can. Show families learn to compete against one another while at the same time rooting for one another. It inspires a special bond that goes deeper than sharing show supplies. Show families show up when someone falls ill or has even greater needs.

Future: Raising the Next Generation

“The future is bright for young people who make a commitment to our industry and take advantage of the opportunities that are out there for them,” Norton said.

Perhaps the greatest gift the livestock and agricultural community offers is the way it invests in the future. Each year, thousands of young people step into barns, arenas, and sale rings to learn lessons they’ll carry for life. These “livestock kids” are not just raising animals—they’re raising themselves into leaders.

From their first bottle calf to their final grand drive, young people in this industry learn what it means to show up consistently, to put in the work even when no one is watching, and to handle both victory and defeat with grace. They learn that hard work pays off, that character matters, and that every setback is just another chance to learn.

Most importantly, they acquire three essential life skills:

Respect

Young people who grow up around livestock shows know respect. They respect animals, people, mentors, the land, and the traditions of agriculture. A firm handshake or fist bump with the judge after their animal is talked is a sign of respect. Writing thank-you notes to buyers and supporters is a sign of respect. Similarly, standing for the national anthem and removing your cover before entering the ring with your animal is a sign of respect.

Responsibility

Understanding that animals depend on them daily and learning that consistency builds trust. Young people with animals learn greater responsibility earlier than others. Ensuring their animals have fresh feed and water at appropriate times, fresh, clean bedding, and are cleaned and cared for are all tasks young people learn. These lessons in responsibility carry over to school, extracurricular activities, and life.

Work Ethic

Knowing that results don’t come overnight but from hours of practice, patience, and effort. A young person probably isn’t going to win showmanship their first time in the ring. But daily practice, working skin and hair, and practicing fitting and clipping will help achieve the goal of winning the showmanship banner. Work ethic is a trait that young people can carry with them from the barn to the workforce.

These lessons prepare them not only for the show ring but also for their future employer or business. They create adults who are dependable, resilient, and confident. And they ensure that the core values of faith, family, and future will continue to thrive in generations to come.

The Community That Makes It Possible

No family in agriculture walks the path alone. Behind every young person showing livestock or working on the ranch are countless mentors—parents, grandparents, breeders, ag teachers, extension agents, FFA advisors, and 4-H leaders. These individuals generously give their time, knowledge, and encouragement.

They teach kids how to clip a calf, evaluate a set of hogs, and properly care for animals. But more than that, they model honesty, patience, and integrity. They show kids that true success is about more than winning a banner—it’s about building character along the way.

We are deeply thankful for this web of support that holds agriculture together. It is a network built on trust, kindness, and a shared love for raising both livestock and leaders. We want the Sure Champ team to be part of your community. If you have any questions about an animal, its feeding regimen, or other livestock-related matters, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.

Why Sure Champ is Grateful

At Sure Champ, our mission has always been bigger than the products we sell. Yes, we are proud to provide supplements that help animals perform at their optimum, but what excites us most is being part of a community that shapes the future. After all, care that comes full circle is more than a motto; it’s our way of life.

Every bag, tube, and jug of Sure Champ product represents more than nutrition—it represents an investment in young people, in families, and in a lifestyle that matters. It represents long days in the barn, early mornings at the wash rack, and the proud moments when kids walk into the ring with confidence.

We are grateful to play even a small role in this journey. Your faith, your families, and your dedication to the future inspire us every single day.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To the livestock and agricultural community: thank you.

Thank you for being the foundation on which families can grow strong and stable. Thank you for prioritizing faith in a world that often forgets it. Thank you for raising families that value time together, hard work, and responsibility. And thank you for investing in the future by raising young people who will carry these lessons forward.

At Sure Champ, we believe agriculture is one of the greatest blessings we have. It is not always the easiest path, but it is always the most rewarding. It teaches lessons that cannot be found in textbooks or classrooms and creates bonds that last a lifetime.

We are honored to stand with you, to serve you, and to celebrate this way of life alongside you. Because of you, agriculture remains the best place to raise a family, and the best place to raise the next generation of leaders. We hope our paths cross as we continue our Sure Champ Birthday Tour, and we look forward to seeing your faces at a livestock event in the future.

With gratitude,

The Sure Champ Family
