Are you looking for a late September show before you hit the heat of the competition at the American Royal or the North American International Livestock Expo (NAILE)? If so, mark your calendars to attend the Rite on Target Jackpot show September 20 and 21, 2014. This event will be held in Grand Island, Nebraska at the Nebraska State Fairgrounds with Overall Champions receiving a payout of $1,500 and Overall Reserve Champions $750.
This event is open to junior exhibitors from across the world ages 5 to 21 and a showmanship contest will also be held in conjunction with the show. Open to pig and cattle, The Rite on Target Jackpot will offer a division for prospects pigs weighing 190 lb and less and a division for market pigs weighing 200 lb or more with a 10 lb weigh back. All barrows and gilts will show together. In the market steer show, the steers will be broke by weight with a 5% weigh back and in the heifer show all purebred heifers must be 6-24 months of age with papers. New this year the show will include a miniature Hereford division for both steers and heifers. You do not need to be a a Show Rite customer to attend.
